The 1:500 000 aeronautical edition maps are essentially the same as the 1:500 000 topo-admin maps but with modificatio
ns for aeronautical purposes. The same topographical background is used except for the heights which are depicted in feet. Magisterial district information has been removed to reduce clutter. The latest aeronautical information is clearly depicted in a distinctive overprint of brilliant blue in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) requirements. The overprinted aeronautical information is updated on a regular basis whilst the background has the same revision cycle as the 1:500 000 topo-admin maps.

Sheets north of latitude 25º South : 17º30' South and 23º30' South
