Provincial Maps

The series of provincial maps provides a map of each province, on its own, on a single sheet. The map is designed mainly for administrative purposes and depicts the cities, towns, smaller urban centres, district/regional councils, rural councils (rural local government) and magisterial distProvincial maps of South Africaricts, as well as the main road and rail networks, main rivers and dams, protected areas and airports.

With the whole province shown on one sheet the scale of the map of each province varies depending on the size of the province - the scales are as follows : Limpopo 1:600 000, North West 1:700 000, Gauteng 1:300 000, Mpumalanga 1:600 000, Northern Cape 1:1 200 000, Free State 1:700 000, KwaZulu-Natal 1:700 000, Western Cape 1:800 000, Eastern Cape 1:800 000.

Projection : Lambert Conformal Conic with two standard parallels.
Coverage : Each province on a separate sheet.
